My Journey

Silvia Cury Chohfi was born in São Paulo into a family of art collectors, which awakened her aesthetic sensibility and connection to painting from an early age.
His artistic training began at age 12 in Lebanon, his family's homeland, a foundational experience that profoundly shaped his perspective. Amidst the landscapes, textures, and cultural contrasts of the Mediterranean, he developed a visual perception permeated by intense light, earthy tones, deep blues, and the symbolic layers of an ancient culture.
Back in Brazil, she furthered her studies in Fine Arts at FAAP, as well as Design at the Pan-American School of Art and Art History with Lizzeta Levi. She also frequented the studios of artists such as Carlos Fajardo, consolidating her practice and expanding her technical and conceptual repertoire.
His career also extends to interior design and landscaping, fields that engage with his perception of space, matter, and composition—elements that also permeate his painting.
Silvia's work emerges from a sensitive territory where memory, emotion, and culture intertwine. Her inspirations traverse the imagery of the Mediterranean; in her canvases, fragments of lived experiences transform into layers that reveal a sensitive construction between matter, light, and time.
His work invites the viewer to an immersive and sensitive experience, where rhythm and light build atmospheres that awaken subtle perceptions. The painting presents itself as a living organism, laden with memory, culture, and emotion.
More than just representing, his art seeks to touch, provoke, and remain, as an experience that continues to reverberate in the eyes and memory of those who experience it.
